About Me & My Sci-Fi Novel: Noya The Ashanxian

What if I were to tell you; a woman without any support, without any funding of a state and without being wealthy, and started a challenge to travel to space for becoming the first astronaut from her country?

What if I were to tell you that a woman in 2064 will be the first space nomad to discover over a million new kinds of species and one of them will be as intelligent as homo sapiens?

Which one could be more possible?

What if I were to tell you more than 1500 women are assulted and murdered by their family members or partners or just by murderers in only last 4 years in Turkey?

Which one is more shocking for you?

Ladies and Gents, welcome to my world.

I am a marketer and a story-teller. The first what if case indicates my life, the second indicates my novel's major character and the third one is a fact in Turkey. These three what if cases are all true but the last one is the most devastating of all for people who believes in freedom. Because of this fact, and as a result of my experiences, I decide to revoke the hope of the people against authoritarian governments worldwide. Than, I started to write my second what if case; Noya The Ashanxian, when I first discovered that the authoritarian rules not only stole the life and freedom of millions in social life but also they stole the hope of millions to live a better life and their belief to a better future. 

Whatever the issue is, if you feel the freedom in your life;(for instance, if you act as usual without having any fear of the things you do), freedom brings creativity and prosperity to the individuals who would like to have a better life.

As a political science and international relations expert, I can say that technological developments are generally associated with the improvements of scientific knowledge and the societies master their scientific knowledge with the help of freedom of speech, freedom of press, justice and equality. So, an authoritarian rule brokes the development graphic of a community because of its nature by its act in opposite direction. However, a society means millions of individuals who try to live their lives in the best way they can, this power of people built the developments. When oppression starts by implying autocratic rules in democracies, these people lost their hope and life purposes. By this way, authoritarian governments stole the life quality and knowledge from the individuals. Those who suffer from these policies are generally the ones who are well-educated; but also they are in general women, youth and lgbti+ members.

Once the authoritarian rule handle these people with oppression, the societies lost their ability to move forward and they stop to create scientific and cultural improvements. This is what we live in our country nearly 20 years. 

When I was a child in primary school, I always answered the question that the teachers asked me which job I prefer, I said "I am already an astronaut."I reached my goal at university exam but this time things changed and the question turned into "Have you ever seen a male astronaut that reaches the stars in this country?" This question made me blue. I didn't made a selection and started to study one more time for the university exam. I was eligible but I was insufficient just because of my gender. I keep on moving and decide to choose a new path to change the world. 

So, I received my degree from political science and international relations. But, there was another problem. The so-called political life stole the questions, answers and degrees at the national institution's job exam and put their supporters to the all state levels. The supporters of this idiotic system of "none-knowledge" told me if I were a supporter of their system than I will have a chance to do my job. This is also the time so-called male centered society asked me "Have you ever seen a female governor in states?" and their advices taught me that I could be a municipality president if I get elected or a national assembly member as a female but I was too young to do those jobs and I was inexperienced to be a politician. I believe if I have millions of dollars, the doors closed on my face will be open easily. 

Years pass by, I became a marketing manager and marketing advisor with additional educations. This time my marital status became a problem for the job market. Because of not having a husband, HR of the companies found me ineligible for the positions and put another barrier on how I wanted to work and live. 

I never gave up. I wrote in newspapers, created many digital and social projects with researches (linkedin), took photos and videos (pexel & eyeem), discovered nature with off-road, but one day I asked myself why I should always learn new things to survive on this Earth but men with less knowledge live much more better lifes? Is it just because they are more brilliant because of their birth? Is it because the institutions? Is it because of the society's so-called moral rules? 

This is the way things done in 20 years. The "I" pronoun could be easily changed with "you" or "she" pronoun and a better or a worse story could be told in same structure. But if you are "unfortunate" enough as a woman, it will also end up in a coffin as a victim of a so-called love story or a street violance case. 

When I think of why we live this, I can briefly summarize the situation as:

"We let them to insult us. We never believe in ourselves because we think we are ineligible because of the society that does not know how ignorant and how old-fashioned with its all kind of socio-political structures. We afraid of the news. We afraid of losing our rights and lifes. We afraid of walking. We afraid of talking. However, what we afraid of, is all became true for someone. This idea makes me to do something. Something for those who feel like me. Something for those who would like to find a reason to stay alive.

I have to change my career and dreams because of that society and those politicians who are not eligible to rule but grab the power with lies and tricks. I always have to develop more and more skills to find a job and pay my bills. Once I enter the world of business, I saw that all authoritarian rules around the world close the ways for women, for youth and for those who does not support these kind of politicians. Because women and the youth is the leading power of positive changes."

When the Covid-19 epidemics started, one more time I saw that we didn't have anything or anyone to trust in our country. This idea makes me to do something for the women in my country and women in worldwide. Because we have the power to move on and change. As all we know women can do it, we can set a better life and the idea of having a better life for people around the world. This desire gets deeper inside me.

 As a result, I said that "Enough is enough." and I started to publish my book in NFTs page by page.

Noya The Ashanxian is the product of these struggles and it is the book of hope for those who believe in humanity with no borders, no gender gap and no discrimination. 

I wrote this science fiction novel because I discover that the people around the world has forgotten to dream about a better future. Without dreams, we, the humanity, couldn't have been walk so long since our first evolution on this "lovely blue dot" and as Atatürk said "the future is in the skies!"

I follow the words of Atatürk and decided to follow my childhood dream and I made my application to Virgin Galactics.  

Guess what happened?  

I received a confirmation if I can pay the flight cost. It is 500000 dollars and I started to publish my book as NFTs to gather the money for the flight. I believe I can do it as a women without having any resources but just having the courage to follow my dreams.

I dedicated this book to the women of Earth because while I wrote the book more than 1500 women were murdered in my country and I would like to go to the space with Virgin Galactic as the first and the first female astronaut of Turkey in the name of women who were murdered.

Because we, the women of Earth and the women of Turkey, we are equal with men, we have rights and our rights could not be abolished just because of that "lovely" old-fashioned dreams does not let the politicians to see the future.

I believe women and men who believes in a better future would support me and we can deal and beat this oppression policies by rising our voices around the world. 

I would like to reach the stars in the name of women who were murdered or whose dreams are murdered by oppression policies. 

Let's built a better world together. Let's reach the skies for the women!
